Time For Souper Bowl of Caring With PLC Boy Scouts!

A Big Thanks From Our Scouts to Peace Lutheran Church!

Sunday, February 11, 2024 – Worship Service at 9:30 a.m.

As we arrive at the 2024 Souper Bowl of Caring, the Scouts of Troop 1861 and Cub Scouts of Pack 62 here at Peace Lutheran Church will be at the worship service on Sunday, February 11, 2024 to thank the congregation for all of their support throughout the year.

In addition, the Scouts will be collecting canned goods and monetary donations as a part of the Souper Bowl of Caring to benefit the Brazos Church Pantry.

In the Brazos Valley, 1 out of every 5 people is food insecure and nearly 50% are children.

92% of people needing food assistance have to choose between using the money they have on food or using it on medical care or utilities.

The food consumed on Super Bowl Sunday in our country is surpassed only by Thanksgiving.

Can you imagine if everyone watching the Super Bowl bought one less order of hot wings, one less case of beer, or one less pizza and donated that money to a food bank?

Imagine how many people could be helped if everyone watching the game just donated $1, it would raise over $100,000,000 for the hungry.

Do your part to help fight hunger in our community!

Bring your canned goods and monetary donations to help fill up the resources of the Brazos Church Pantry!

Be a Gamechanger!

From Troop 1861 and Pack 62:

“Thanks for all your help!”
