Upcoming Door Project at Peace Lutheran Church

November – December 2023

Over the last several years, three key exterior doors have not automatically closed and locked consistently when people enter or leave the building.

As a result, the facilities are sometimes not secure and potentially creates safety issues for people inside.

The three key exterior doors are:

***Coffee Nook doors (near the Church Office front doors)

***Hallway doors (near the restrooms in the hallway between the Coffee Nook and Narthex)

***Narthex doors (main doors on the front side of the church)

All of these doors are the original ones installed in the early 1980s and they have been repaired a number of times over the years. The doors can no longer be repaired, they must be replaced to function properly.

At the September 19, 2023 meeting, the Church Council approved proceeding with the project to replace the three key exterior doors.

The project objectives are to replace the three key exterior doors using a cost-effective solution, while ensuring the replacement doors:

***Are operationally reliable to help keep our facilities secure and safe

***Are operationally reliable to help keep our facilities secure and safe
