It is with great pride that we announce the final results of a community-wide effort to provide our own Brazos Valley with masks needed to combat the invasive COVID-19 virus within our midst!

Needs have been met and with this mass mask availability and distribution, the demand has been fulfilled.

Thanks to all sewists and every community member who rose to this occasion – you made a huge difference in our community and thanks to your efforts, our community is a safer place by far!

Another big thanks to Visiting Angels and Pride Cleaners for their help in this effort.

We will leave our Facebook page published and the group will be close by in case another crisis arrives that will let us be of service.

Where Did Your Work Get Distributed?

Just last week, Hero Mask Makers provided over 150 masks and multiple boxes of t-shirts for the Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM) via the ELCA Southwestern Synod.

These masks were passed along to the Interfaith Welcome Coalition team that is assisting families being released from detention on the border, individuals who only had overused paper masks that should have been tossed a long time ago.

In addition this past week, Hero Mask Makers provided over 200 masks for children involved with CASA which will provide these young people with the masks they need to attend school that will be opening again soon.

We did keep 200 adult and 50 children masks with us here to help prevent community spread when we feel comfortable about re-opening our sanctuary for in-person worship.
