Talk: In this story Abram trusted God and God made a promise to save his people. God changed his name to Abraham and promised that his decedents would be as numerous as the stars in the sky.
- What was your favorite part of the story?
- What did God promise Abram?
- What is a descendant? Who are you a descendant of?
- What does it mean to trust God? Tell of a time when you trusted someone to keep their promise.
Together go outside look up at the stars. How many can you count? Use an app to find out the names of the stars. Talk about your names and why you were given that name. Create a star for each person with their name on it. Display it as a reminder to trust God and the promises he made you, to always love you and forgive and that you will inherit His Kingdom.
Say a prayer together thanking God for his promises and ask Him to help you trust in Him.
Bless each other by making the sign of the cross on each others forehead and saying: (name), Child of God, trust in my promise and Go and share My love with others.
