United We Pray – Contemplative Prayer From Home!
Every Wednesday From March 25 – April 8, 2020
12:15 – 1:15 p.m.
Do you find it challenging to find time to listen to God? Is your prayer time is rushed? Are you feeling spiritually hungry?
Each Wednesday during the newly-re-envisioned-due-to-COVID-19 2020 Lenten season from 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm, we ask everyone who is now staying at home an opportunity for quiet meditation and prayer time.
This is an opportunity to grow in your faith practice by setting aside specific time to focus, pray and listen for God.
“Thomas Merton’s description of contemplative prayer is prayer that is centered entirely on the presence of God.”
The hope is that this Lenten discipline will start your faith practice of “being still and know that I am God” from Psalm 46:10.
Let us unite in prayer for God’s presence, the healing of Jesus Christ, and the peace of the Holy Spirit to be with us and the brokenness of the world dealing with COVID-19
