Peace Lutheran Church has a variety of opportunities for members to participate in music ministry. If you are interested in joining an ensemble, forming an ensemble, or presenting a solo, please contact Michelle Osterholm at michelle@peacelutheranbcs.org.
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir of Peace Lutheran Church sings a variety of repertoire including gospel, modern anthems, traditional hymn arrangements, and sacred choir standards. No auditions are required; all teens and adults who love to sing are welcome to join.
From September-May the Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 7:30 in the Sanctuary and sings regularly in both the 8:15 and 10:45 services. The Adult Choir sings a reduced schedule during the summer.
Peace Ringers
The Peace Ringers began rehearsals on September 29, 2011. No auditions are required; teens and adults who read music, or have a good sense of rhythm are welcome to participate. Members are required to pay dues of $25 for the first year.
Peace Ringers is active from September-May. Rehearsals will be on Thursday evenings at 6:30 in the Sanctuary. The Peace Ringers will play in worship about once per month.
Young Disciples Choir
The Young Disciples Choir musical began rehearsals on September 21, 2011. Young Disciples Choir sang during worship on October 23 and will sing for the Children’s Christmas Pageant on December 18, 2011. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in the sanctuary. Children grades 2-6 are welcome to participate.
Solos and Small Ensembles
If you play an instrament or sing, solos and and small ensembles are welcome during worship. If you are interested in setting up a time to present a piece to the congregration, please contact Michelle Osterholm. In 2011, Peace Lutheran Church has been blessed with bag pipe, cello and piano solos and multiple vocal solos and ensembles.
